2 employees working at DMHO in ACB net

Nellore: Office superintendent and a senior assistant working in the office of the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) were booked by the ACB sleuths on Thursday while accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 from an employee of the same department. 

According to officials, Payyavula Srinivasulu is working as superintendent. K V Mahesh Babu, who was appointed as junior assistant in the same office under compassionate grounds in 2014 requested him to process papers for declaration of probation period and regularisation of services.

But, the superintendent demanded Rs 25,000 from the employee for favouring him. Mahesh accepted and approached the ACB officials for necessary action. Srinivasulu asked his senior assistant A Gopal to accept the bribe amount from Mahesh. 

Both employees were caught red-handed while accepting the money in the office premises. A case was booked and both superintendent and the senior assistant were produced before the Special Judge for ACB Cases, Nellore for judicial custody.
