AP Govt should protect Dalits’ interests
Vizianagaram: Leader of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi Manda Krishna Madiga demanded that the Union and State governments protect the interests of Dalits and save them from the atrocities of upper castes.
He participated in a programme here on Friday and stated that Dalits across the state would join hands and question the governments for ignoring them. Krishna Madiga stated that they will organise ‘Simhagarjana’ meeting in Warangal on May 27 to prove the strength and power of Dalits.
Unless the BJP change its stand towards Dalits, they would teach a lesson to the NDA government in next general elections. The Union government is planning to weaken the Atrocity Act and the Adivasi women should notice this and question the leaders in this regard, he appealed. G Chennayya, leader of MRPS, and others participated in the meeting.
