Criminal action against hotel owners ordered

Tirupati: Civil Supplies Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao has warned the petrol bunk dealers of stern action if they indulge in irregularities. The Minister inspected several petrol bunks and cinema theatres here on Friday and interacted with the consumers. Penalties will be levied on the offenders and if they repeat mistakes then their licences will be cancelled.

He asked theatre owners to ensure the sale of eatables at MRP rates only and they should provide drinking water and first aid for the movie viewers. When he visited the Akshaya Hotel opposite Railway Station main gate, he came to know that they were inviting pilgrims into their hotel and at the end giving heavy bills. As they attacked pilgrims belong to Bihar in front of the Minister, he immediately asked to file a criminal case and open rowdy sheet against the hotel owners. 

He said, government will not spare such persons as it sends wrong signals to the country with their deeds and said that every action will be taken to ensure pilgrims to have hassle free tour of Tirupati and Tirumala. Pulla Rao asked food inspectors, officials of the Legal Metrology department to make frequent inspections to set things right.
