Calligraphy helps child excel in academics

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists organised a 10-day calligraphy training for the children of journalists, non-journalists at the Press Club. IJU vice-president Ambati Anjaneyulu inaugurated the training classes here on Wednesday.  In all, 50 people registered their names for the calligraphy training.

National calligraphy expert Prof P Bhuvana Chandra is the trainer for the programme. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he said that calligraphy is an art and beautiful handwriting would definitely take students to a great position. 

He said calligraphy helps students to excel in academics. He said in SSC, Inter, Degree, B Ed, Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy and other professional courses, calligraphy helps to achieve speed writing and standard handwriting, he said and added calligraphy is one of the powerful tools using which one can communicate and express their ideas effectively.

He said calligraphy skills would enhance the children's academic standards by scoring excellent marks in the examination, he added. APUWJ members Ch Ravi, K Rajeswara Rao, SK Babu, N Chalapathi Rao and others were present.
