Implement quota in outsourcing jobs too

Guntur: AP SC/ST Commission chairman Karem Sivaji said that the state government had directed that all SC, ST backlog posts be filled immediately and also issued orders to this effect.

Addressing a review meeting with officials of the departments concerned with various schemes meant for SCs and STs, at the ZP conference hall here on Thursday, he asked the officials to implement reservations for SCs and STs in the outsourcing and contract jobs too.  

Stating that most of the problems of SCs and STs are land related, he instructed the officials concerned to solve such problems within 15 days. He further said that he had discussed with the officials to release finance assistance under the NTR Vidyonnati Scheme to the eligible candidate for higher studies abroad.

Asking the officials to see that SC/ST Sub-plan funds are properly used, he warned of stern action if they are misused. He directed the officials to ensure that benefits of SC/ST Sub-plan benefit those sections. Joint director of social welfare department R Mallikarjuna Rao, SC Corporation executive director Balaji Naik were among those present.
