CM again seeks Centre help for capital construction

Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu once again urged the Central government for their help in the development of Capital city Amaravati.

In his field visit to the central nursery being developed by Amaravati Development Corporation Ltd (ADC), he sought from the officials the details on the progress of ongoing works of roads and various buildings in capital region on Saturday, Chandrababu Naidu said that central government should extend their support as was promised by them. 

Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu directed CRDA and ADC officials to plant saplings along all the roads in the capital city. He further asked them to develop greenery in Amaravati capital region to bring down the hot temperature by 10 degrees.

While speaking to journalists, Chief Minister said that works of total 32 roads on a stretch of 320 km are in progress. Construction of houses for All India Service (AIS) officials, Non-Gazetted Officials (NGOs) and weaker sections was in progress. He said 5,000 houses would be constructed for weaker sections and 2,000 houses for NGOs.

The CRDA officials are using Myvan technology of Malaysia in construction which helps to complete the slab and wall works of any building in one day. He said the construction of 6 G+12 towers with 144 flats with 3500 sq ft plinth area each are in progress for AIS officials. Priority would be given to greenery and landscape in Amaravati capital region. 

Amaravati will stand as best city in planning and greenery, he said. Chandrababu Naidu said that the construction of district courts’ building is under progress and it would be used as transit High Court. He said tenders were called for works worth Rs 2400 crores in capital region in first phase. He opined that the Central Govt should come forward to extend financial assistance to state govt in capital building.

He alleged that some parties including YSRCP and Jana Sena were resorting to mudslinging, though Amaravati capital works are in progress. The state will lose investments with false campaign by these parties and their leaders, he added.
