The new fruit market would be constructed in an extent of 7 acres of municipal land situated at Praja Nagar and adjacent to ring road. If the market is shifted to Praja Nagar then the fruit merchants would get good transportation facility and the business would also flourish, the MLA said. He stated that they will take the fruit merchants on a ride to the new place.

After inspecting the new site, if fruit merchants show their consent then the government will start the construction of fruit market, said Mohan Reddy. Municipal Commissioner Dr CB Harinath Reddy mentioned that the present fruit market cannot accommodate more number of vendors. The transporters are also facing risks to reach the place with the fruit loads.

So, it is a good idea to shift the market to a new place to expand their businesses. He assured them of creating all sorts of facilities at the new fruit market. The new fruit market would be constructed by coordinating with the Marketing and Horticulture departments and municipal administration wing, added CB Harinath Reddy.
