Powerlifters felicitated

Vijayawada: Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Managing Director Nallapuraju Bangarraju felicitated the winners of Asian Powerlifting Championship-2018 here on Wednesday. The Andhra Lifters participated in the Asian Powerlifting Championship-2018 which was held in Udaipur, Rajasthan, from May 1 to 6.

He congratulated the winners for bagging medals and felicitated with shawls and handed over mementoes to SK Sadhiya Almas, sub-junior, who bagged four gold medals in 52 kg category, B Chandrakala, senior women, who bagged one silver and a bronze in 72 kg category,  B Chandrika, senior women, who secured three bronze in 84 kg plus category, P Suresh, M1 men, who bagged four gold medals in 83 kg category, DVV Satyanarayana, M2, men, who bagged four silver medals in 83 kg category and Dr Bala Govind Tiwari, M2 men, who bagged two gold, one silver and one bronze. 

S Koteswara Rao of Andhra Pradesh was the coach for the Indian team. In this regard, Special Secretary for Sports LV Subrahmanyam, Sports Minister Kollu Ravindra, SAAP Chairman Ankamma Chowdary and others appreciated the powerlifters and assured them that the SAAP will present incentives to the powerlifters soon.
