APIIC GM tells women to join health campaign

Vijayawada: APIIC General Manager Aluri Gowri Lakshmi has called upon the women to take care of their health to maintain fitness and sound health. She inaugurated the free health checkup camp conducted by The Hans India and HMTV at the Sentini Hospital here on Monday.

As part of the state-wide campaign, The Hans India and HMTV have conducted the free health checkup camps in nine hospitals in Vijayawada and eight hospitals in Guntur to mark the International Day of Action for Women’s Health.

The health camp evoked good response with hundreds of women of different ages visiting the health camps in the hospitals in Vijayawada and got services free of cost from expert doctors.

Speaking on the occasion, Gowri Lakshmi said that ‘Fit India movement’ is picking up in the country and asked women to join the campaign also.  She said women need to give priority to family and should not neglect their health and nutritious food. She said women are suffering anemia and hormonal problems and suggested them to take care of health.

She congratulated The Hans India and HMTV for conducting the health camp when middle class and poor people could not afford medical expenses in the corporate hospitals. She further said the doctors are also not able to diagnose the disease without conducting the medical tests.

Dr S Madhuri, MD, DM, of Sentini hospitals, conducted health checkup at the Sentini hospital. Local women attended the health camp. The hospital conducted ECG tests to women patients free of cost. A patient Devireddy Jayalakshmi said the health camp was useful to women. 

Dr B Kavitha of Andhra Hospital conducted the health check up to women at the hospital. Dr B Kavita congratulated The Hans India for conducting the free health checkup camps for the convenience of women. She said women care for their families and neglect their own health problems.

Ch Mercy, a patient, who attended the health camp thanked The Hans India for conducting the medical camp. Mercy felt health checkup camps are useful to people.

Dr Gangadhar, general physician and Dr B Gayatri, dentist conducted health checkup to patients and prescribed medicine at Karuna Children’s Clinic, Nimmathota, Moghalrajpuram.

Residents visited the hospital and took prescription from the doctors. Dr D Gangadhar said anemia, malnutrition and hormonal problems are three important problems being faced by the women folk. He suggested the women to take balanced diet and try to ensure vegetables and leaves to get iron.

Dr Gayatri said oral health is very important for both women and men. She suggested the women to visit the hospital whenever they notice problems with teeth and gums.

Dr Sridevi, cosmetologist, Gems Femme world, Sai Odyssy towers, Srinagar Colony conducted tests to women. She suggested that cardio exercises were very good for health and to maintain fitness. She congratulated The Hans India and the HMTV for conducting the health camps.

She suggested regular exercise, diet and nutritious food were very important to maintain fitness. Dr GV Sugandha of Anu Hospitals conducted the free health checkup at the hospital. She said fitness is very important for women to take care of family particularly children.

She said women these days became health conscious and spending time to take care of their health. A patient N Sravani of Kodad, thanked The Hans India and HMTV for organising the free health checkup.   

At Indla's Vimhans Hospitals, Suryaraopet, Dr Indla Ramasubba Reddy conducted tests to patients. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Indla Ramasubba Reddy felt physical and mental health were very important to people.

Stating many health problems are caused by stress, the psychiatrist suggested to people to maintain stress-free life for better health. He congratulated The Hans India for conducting health camps. A patient Padma felt treatment in corporate hospitals has become very costly these days and thanked The Hans India and HMTV for conducting the free health camp for the convenience of patients.

Dr Mahesh Dondapati, conducted health checkup to patients at Dondapati’s Clinic in Srinagar, Gurunanak colony. He suggested fitness was very important to every person and women have to do exercise to maintain good health. N Mani, a patient attended the health checkup camp felt free health camps would be useful to poor people.
