Summer cricket coaching camp ends

Vijayawada: The summer coaching camp of Krishna District Cricket Association (KDCA) concluded here on Friday. 

The month-long coaching camp was organised at Makineni Basava Punnaiah (MBP) stadium at Singhnagar. About 130 students participated in the camp. 

Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) joint secretary V Durga Prasad, KDCA secretary A Yella Rao distributed the certificates to the participants.

Durga Prasad felicitated cricketers S Manasa, Pujitha, Pridhvi Prasanth, Nani and Harsha Vardhan for their outstanding performance in State, Zonal and National levels

Speaking on the occasion, Durga Prasad said that cricket association was ready to provide better facilities to benefit the players. He said ACA would create Astroturf wicket facility at MBP stadium with a cost of Rs 3.5 lakh. 

He further said that ACA was the only association across the country which had more international standard stadiums and facilities. He said that players who took summer coaching should continue training regularly and prove their talent, he added.

Sports Authority of India (SAI) retired gymnastics coach Rammohana Rao, MBP Stadium Walkers’ Association president Raju and cricket coach Srinivas were present.
