Burrakatha steals show at Happy Sunday

Rajamahendravaram: Happy Sunday was conducted with various programmes such as group and solo songs, skits and dances. Of them, Burrakadha organised by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in connection with World Environment Day impressed the audience.

Burrakadha mainly conducted with a message not to use non-recyclable plastic.

The artristes also explained ONGC's Swachh Godavari initiative and steps taken for greening of its operational areas and various facts of environmental degradation etc.

They urged the audience to shun the habit of using plastic bags, wherever possible. 

They called upon the people to use reusable or bio-degradable utensils at home in place of one-time use plastic, as plastic takes 500 years to degrade and it releases toxic chemicals in the process.

Corporation manager K Srinivasa Rao and others were present.
