Cloth bags distributed for Environment Protection
Kakinada: The National Green Corps, East Godavari unit distributed cloth bags at Jagannaickpur market here on the fourth day of Environment Protection Week celebrations on Sunday.
Visitors to the market were impressed by the necessity to discard plastic bags and the need to switch over to cloth bags for environment protection.
Participating in the cloth bag distribution, municipal corporations Chodipalli Satya Prasad, M Kishore Kumar, M Sri Devi, Ch Rambabu, P Nandam, Kamadi Sita, M Uday Kumar said that it was duty of everybody to strive for environment protection and discard plastic bags.
National Green Corps state project director G Satyanarayana said that they had taken up widespread propagation in all 13 districts in the state over the need to discard plastic bags and use cloth bags as a suitable replacement.
Bala Vedica convener N Balaramakrishna and Gen Corps convener Kesari Srinivasa Rao also spoke.
