Rally against Plastic Waste Organised

Bhimavaram: The NSS unit of Vishnu Dental College here celebrated the World Environment Day on Tuesday.

The NSS volunteers took out a massive rally from Gita Multiplex to Prakasham Chowk as part of the environment protection day celebrations. 

They formed a human chain at Ambedkar statue in the town. The Vishnu Dental College dental health head, S Suresh flagged off the rally.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Suresh expressed concern over the deteriorating situation of the environment.  

He said the major threat faced by human beings was the destruction of the environment. 

He said everyone should come forward to protect the environment for the survival of mankind. 

“Beat the plastic pollution” is the slogan of UNO on this day and everyone should come forward to stop the utilisation of plastic as the plastic waste became hazard. 
 
NSS programme officer Dr G Praveen coordinated the rally. Later, the NSS volunteers formed a human chain on the college complex and pledged to protect the environment.

College principal Suresh Sajjan and vice-principal AV Ramaraju visited the models on the environment protection displayed by junior doctors and congratulated them.
