Four die as lorry hits car

Yerragondapalem: Four people including a pregnant woman died on the spot when a speeding lorry hit their car in Prakasam district. According to Markapuram DSP NV Ramanjaneyulu, three people, M Srinivas Raghavendra, G Krishnaveni, I Vijayalakshmi, natives of Kurnool district,were selected as degree college lecturers in Kurnool recently.

To complete the formalities at the commissioner’s office, they hired a car and started to Vijayawada in the early morning on Wednesday. At Vellampalle village of Tripuranthakam mandal, a cement laden-lorry going to Markapuram from Guntur hit their vehicle.

Under the impact, half of the car went under the lorry killing all the four including the driver D Upender Reddy.The police registered a case of negligent driving and started investigation.
