Gangavaram port launches green belt drive

Visakhapatnam: The Gangavaram Port Limited celebrated the World Environment Day by launched a week long green belt development and awareness programme on the port premises. Senior officials and staff participated in the ‘Green Rally’ taken out by the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board.

They took pledge to plant more than 80,000 saplings during the year. CEO of Gangavaram Port Limited Sambasiva Rao, vice-president Vigilance (R&R and Security) B Balakrishna, Director (S&P) G Brahmaiah and AVP (Environment) D Jyothi graced the occasion.
