Inter supplementary exam results released

Visakhapatnam: HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) announced the Advanced Supplementary Examination(ASE)-2018  results of the both first and second year in just 18 days.

Releasing the results at YVS Murthy Auditorium here on Tuesday, the minister said  2,97,862 students, including first year betterment students had written the exam under the surveillance of CC cameras at 887 examination centres. 

The total number of students appeared for ASE from general category are 4,17,437, of which first year students are 2,97,862) and second year students are 1,19,575. Besides, 18,327 students appeared for ASE from vocational streams in which 11,710 are from first year and 6,617 are from second year, with a total of overall 4,35,764 students.

Bio metric system of attendance was implemented at spot valuation camps across the 13 districts in the state due to which impersonation of examiners was curbed and punctuality was maintained.  

In the first year,  1,53,319 Intermediate (general) students appeared for the ASE, but only 48,998 (32 per cent) managed to pass, while the betterment students (1,44,543) from the first year had secured 100 per cent pass result this year. In the second year, a total of 1,19,575 students had appeared and  54,762 (46 per cent)  of them cleared their exam.

In the first year, a total of 9,574 Intermediate (Vocational) students appeared for the ASE, but only 4,323 (45 per cent) could pass, while of the betterment students(2,136) from the first year had secured 100 per cent pass result.
