Kadapa: As the indefinite fast of Rajya Sabha member CM Ramesh and MLC B.Tech Ravi for steel plant in district entered third day, several TDP MPs, MLCs and ministers thronged fast camp to expressed their solidarity on Friday.

MPs M Murali Mohan, P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, JC Diwakar Reddy, Maganti Babu, Kesineni Nani, Avanthi Srinivas, Nimmala Kistappa, Galla Jayadev, Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar, Butta Renuka, Kanalakala Narayana, marketing minister C Adinarayana Reddy RTC chairman Varla Ramaiah , Putha Narasimha Reddy and Satish Reddy were among those visited the venue.

MPs Murali Mohan, and Konakalla Narayana observed one day hunger strike in support of the ongoing fast by Ramesh and B.Tech Ravi. Speaking the occasion,  Ramesh alleged that BJP had hatched a conspiracy to dilute his fast camp by conducting counter protest  programmes against the fast.  He recalled that one of the preconditions set by the TDP to strike an alliance with BJP was setting up of steel plant in Kadapa.

“The BJP mentioned steel plant establishment in its manifesto and the same was assured by Narendra Modi during his electioneering in Tirupati meeting. If the Centre is sincere on the issue, why it has wasted four years in the name of Task Forces, feasibility studies and inspections?” he said.

Ramesh demanded YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy answer the people why had he failed to question the Central government when it told Supreme Court that it cannot set up steel plant in Kadapa district.

Anantapur MP J C Diwakar Reddy said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was increasingly behaving in an vindictive manner towards Andhra Pradesh. Taking a dig at YSRCP and Pawan Kalyan, he said why would the Centre be bothered about fulfilling its promises when some leaders and parties were eager to support BJP in the state.

MP Murali Mohan said TDP would continue the stir in different forms till the Central government announced a positive decision on the steel plant. He urged the people to join the agitation by expressing solidarity with TDP fast in the interest of their children and their future prosperity.

Meanwhile, TDP cadres organised rallies in support of CM Ramesh and B.Tech Ravi across the district. In Proddutur, former minister N Varadarajula Reddy organised a huge rally with hundreds of party activists while in Pulivendula, former MLC Satish Reddy staged a protest followed by rally in the town.
