MLAs told to fight for Machilipatnam Port

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) official spokesperson Kolanukonda Sivaji suggested to the legislators of Telugu Desam in Krishna district to fight for Machilipatnam Port on the lines of Kadapa Steel Factory agitation.He asked MPs Kesineni Srinivas, Konakalla Narayana, Ministers Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao and Kollu Ravindra to take a cue from MP CM Ramesh. 

He said that the Kadapa TDP leaders were agitating for steel factory, similarly, the Krishna district TDP leaders should fight for Machilipatnam Port. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu gave assurance to public during the elections regarding construction of Machilipatnam Port, he recalled. He said that the government was creating unrest among the public in Machilipatnam area in the process of land acquisition.
