AP CM keen on strengthening Anganwadis: MLC Adireddy Appa Rao

Rajamahendravaram: MLC Adireddy Appa Rao has said that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has issued directions to strengthen Anganwadi centres across the state by providing necessary facilities.

Inaugurating Anganwadi centre at Vambay houses along with Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) chairman Ganni Krishna here on Wednesday, he said the centre was opened for the benefit of the residents of this colony. The centre was started with all basic amenities.

The government supplies nutritious food to pregnant women and children and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was very much particular in this regard. 

Joint Collector issued orders to set up a Rythu Bazaar and a ration shop in the colony.  Roads and drains would also be laid and an amount of Rs 2 lakh was sanctioned for cleaning septic tanks in the colony.

Later, they performed Annaprasana and Aksharabyasam to the children.

Corporator MD Prasad, RV Sekhar, Anganwadi centre supervisor Durga and others were present.
