AISF demands distribution of textbooks to government schools in Kakinada

Kakinada: The All India Students Federation (AISF) East Godavari unit organised a rally here on Thursday, demanding that the government distribute textbooks to government schools with immediate effect.

The activists also staged a dharna at East Godavari DEO office.

Addressing the gathering, AISF state unit president M Subba Rao criticised that though 23 days passed after reopening of schools, no effort was made to supply the textbooks to concerned schools in East Godavari. 

The students, particularly Class X, were losing valuable time to go through the lessons and learn the subject. 

He threatened to intensify the agitation, if the government failed to act immediately on the issue.
