Amaravati: Intent on taking the war to the logical conclusion, the AP state cabinet, which met here on Friday, decided to fight tooth and nail against the Centre in the Supreme Court and call its bluff that it had honoured all the commitments made to the state in the AP State Reorganisation Act 2014.

The cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, took serious exception to the Centre filing an affidavit with lies and half-truths with the Supreme Court, Information and Public Relations Minister K Srinivasulu said, while briefing media-persons, on the resolutions adopted at the cabinet.

He said that the Central government has so far filed three affidavits in the Apex Court on the petition by Telangana Congress MLC P Sudhakar Reddy, to which Andhra Pradesh government is also a party. “The affidavits reflected the unhelpful attitude of the Centre towards the truncated state of Andhra Pradesh,” he said.

He maintained that the Centre has filed affidavit which had false information. “The Centre has the responsibility to enhance the dignity of the Supreme Court by submitting documents which are truthful.
