Bank manager in ACB net
Vijayawada: Branch Manager of Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Bank, Gollapudi, was caught by the ACB officials while accepting a bribe from a customer for sanctioning personal loan.
According to the ACB, the accused Thumati Chaitanya, branch manager, the AP State Cooperative Bank, Gollapudi, Vijayawada, demanded and accepted the bribe of Rs 50,000 on Tuesday at the bank from the complainant Thota Srinivas Kumar of Gollapudi village.
The complainant had applied for the personal loan of Rs 5 lakh. But the manager had demanded Rs 50,000 for sanctioning the loan. The victim met the ACB officials and lodged a complaint against the manager.
The accused took the assistance of J Chandiya, a retired manager, for taking the bribe. When he collected the bribe, the officials immediately caught the two accused red-handed and produced them in the ACB cases special court in Vijayawada.
