JAC demands rly zone at Vizag
Rajamahendravaram: Andhra Political JAC chairman JT Rama Rao has demanded that the Central government announce railway zone at Visakhapatnam headquarters before August 15.
Challo Delhi programme will be organized on a massive scale, if the Central government do not fulfill the demands of the people of this area, he said.
Speaking to reporters at Press Club here on Tuesday, he said railway zone was a long pending demand of the people. Railway zone was not related to AP Bifurcation Act, as it was long cherished desire of the people.
The Central government was operating about 200 special trains to Puri Jagannadh festival and not even 20 trains operated to Godavari and Krishna Pushkarams.
The unemployed youth of this area were forced to go to Tamil Nadu, Orissa and Telangana states to write examinations for jobs.
Rama Rao said that Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan was still to attain political maturity. He cannot question anyone, he added.
JAC leaders Dr BVS Murthi, TN Murthi, B Kodandam and others were present.
