Zoo Park to come up at Kondapalli

Amaravati: A new Zoological Park will come up at Kondapalli Reserve Forest near the capital city Amaravati. Forest and environment minister Sidda Raghava Rao said that a technical committee submitted a feasibility report after visiting Adavinekkalam Reserve Forest, Kondaveedu Reserve Forest, Mangalagiri Reserve Forest, Lemalle Reserve Forest and Kondapalli Reserve Forest. The committee, in its report suggested to establish the Zoological Park in Kondapalli Reserve Forest.

Raghava Rao, in a press release on Monday, explained that the government will create Zoo Park, Jungle Safari and plant variety of saplings in the Kondapalli forest. Government already released Rs 10 crore for development of the Zoo Park, this year. 

This park will come up with global standards and hoped that this will attract tourists from across the world.  The minister directed the officials to prepare a Detailed Project Report for the Zoo Park. On the other hand, he informed that in the 11th auction, the department placed 1,083 metric tonnes of red sanders in the market.
