Better price to chilli farmers motto: Mannava Subba Rao

Guntur: Mirchi Yard chairman Mannava Subba Rao said that he had taken steps to turn mirchi farmer into mirchi exporter to get a better price to their produce in the international market.

He addressed a meeting and explained development works taken in the Asia'a biggest Mirchi Yard to Vizag AMC team which visited the Guntur Mirchi Yard.

He said that they had introduced ENAM (Electronic National Agriculture Market) at the Guntur Mirchi Yard. As soon as the farmers bring their chillis into market yard, chilli quality will be tested.

According to variety and quality, the details will be displayed in the Spice Board Website to help importers in various countries.

When the farmers will become exporters, they will directly export chilli and make good profits. He informed that they had developed link roads with the funds from the AMC.

He further said that about 80,000 farmers were getting benefitted from the mirchi yard and added that every day five thousand to six thousand farmers visit yard during the season. 

Vizag AMC vice-chairman Posapati Balarama Bhadraraju, director Srinivas, Pradeep were among those participated.
