Prof Subha appointed in-charge Sri Krishnadevaraya University Vice-Chancellor
Anantapur: Prof M C S Subha serving as Rector has been appointed as in-charge Vice-Chancellor of Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU), according to a press release from the Vice-Chancellor’s office. She obtained her MSc degree from Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), Tirupati in 1979.
She joined as Assistant Professor in SKU, Anantapur in 1982. She obtained her MPhil and PhD degree in Chemistry from SKU in 1981 and 1987 respectively. Her areas of research include thermodynamic study of binary liquid mixtures, polymer-surfactant interactions, polymer blend, drug delivery studies, polymer-membrane pervaporation studies etc.
She has published 171 research publications (101 international and 70 national) and has presented 97 papers in national and international conferences. She has 36 years of post-graduate teaching experience. She has been awarded Best Teacher Award from the AP government in the year 2006. She received Bharthi Jyothi award from the International Friendship Society, New Delhi in the year 2006.
Prof Subha was awarded with UGC Visiting Scientist Award in 1994-95 to work at IIT, New Delhi and INSA Award to work at IICT, Hyderabad in 1998-99. Maharani Jhansi Puraskar awarded to Prof Subha by Bharatiya Samskriti Nirman Parishad, Hyderabad in 2010.
