Maintain quality food in Anna Canteens: Ganni Krishna
Rajamahendravaram: Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) Chairman Ganni Krishna has said that the Anna Canteens started across the state recently were receiving tremendous response and many people were expressing happiness for introducing the canteens.
After inspecting the Anna Canteens at government hospital and quarry centre here on Saturday, he said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu took the initiative to start the canteens to provide quality lunch and supper for Rs 5 only. The people were happy with the food being supplied to them and demanding to continue the canteens without interruption, he added.
The government issued directions to the respective officials to check the quality of food frequently and take action on the canteen organisers if they failed to adhere to quality norms. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is planning to start more Anna Canteens across the state soon, he said and asked the people not to waste the food and directed the organisers of canteens to supply sufficient food to people.
TDP government is always thinking about the wellbeing of poor and implementing many schemes for them, he said. Hygienic conditions would be maintained at the canteens and the government would supply dish cleaners to all the canteens, he added. SC Corporation director Kasi Naveen Kumar was present.
