Indian Commerce and Industry Association Japan evinces interest in AP state promotion
Amaravati: The Indian Commerce and Industry Association Japan (ICIJ) chairman and HMI hotels group owner Ryuko Hira expressed interest to invest in Andhra Pradesh by establishing convention centres and developing tourism, transport and infrastructure sectors.
Ryuko Hira secured place in Forbes list by successfully organising 60 hotels in Japan. He took part in a meeting with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat here on Monday. He discussed the investment opportunities in the State with Chandrababu Naidu.
On the occasion, he said that his group is interested to establish a global convention centre in Vizag at first. He also said that Andhra Pradesh and Japan have similarities with large seacoast as attraction. He said that there is a huge opportunity for marine food exports.
They would start the business, if Andhra Pradesh government comes forward in marine exports sector, he said. He assured that Japan would also extend cooperation in the model of Singapore for development of new State of Andhra Pradesh.
He suggested that there is need to extend support on nature disaster management too. Besides, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu requested him to come forward to utilise business opportunities in the State like Singapore. Chief Minister’s office higher officials G Saiprasad and Jasti Krishna Kishore were present.
