‘AP suitable for tourism investments’
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh is the right place for investors to invest in tourism-related projects, said Himanshu Shukla, Managing Director of Tourism Development Corporation, while addressing a group of industrialists from Japan who evinced interest in investing in tourism-related projects in the state.
The Managing Director said that the investors in the tourism sectors are welcome and there would be a lot of concessions to them to invest in the state. The Japanese team consisting of Ryuko Hira, Managing Director of Hotel Management International (HMI), the Japanese major in hospitality sector, senior director PR Khemchand, chief architect Allen James Miller, and director Yuji Riha. HMI Group which owns more than one hundred hotels in Japan has been evincing interest to invest in the state.
Shukla said that among the five tourist hubs in the state, the Madhuravada hub at Visakhapatnam is a favourable area for investment. “A detailed project report (DPR) has already been prepared and the Chief Minister approved it,” he added.
