Kala takes exception to Jagan’s comments
Vijayawada: TDP State president Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao took strong exception to the comments made by YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy that reservation cannot be provided to Kapus In a press release, he condemned Jagan’s statement on Kapu reservation.
He alleged that Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan were working as per the directions of BJP national president Amit Shah.
He suggested to them to convince the BJP towards implementation of Kapu reservation instead of hurting the sentiments of Kapus.
He recalled that the Telugu Desam Party passed a resolution on Kapu quota in the Assembly and sent it to the Centre. He also pointed out that Y S Jagan commented in favour of Kapu reservation in the past by showing Tamil Nadu reservations as example.
He asked Jagan as to why he had changed his stand on the reservations of Kapu community. The YSR Congress president at least could not make an effort to exert pressure on the NDA government to pass the Kapu reservation bill in Parliament, he lamented.
Objection on Pawan comments against Amaravati capital: The TDP State president also took strong objection to the comments of Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan that he would stop the Amaravati capital city construction. He wondered as to how the Jana Sena chief could make such a statement when the construction works were in progress.
