Plea to solve drinking water problem

Rajamahendravaram: The residents of Vambay Colony in 36th division poured their problems before MLC Adireddy Appa Rao and corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar when they visited the colony to know the problems of the residents on Wednesday.

The residents asked them to solve drinking water problem, arrest leakages and lavatory tank etc in the colony immediately.

About 1,100 families are residing in 9 blocks of Vambay Colony and facing many problems, they complained.

Responding to their problems, Commissioner Sumit Kumar directed corporation superintending engineer Om Prakash to initiate steps to settle the problems posed by the residents immediately.

MLC Adireddy Appa Rao assured to extend financial assistance to address the problems to some extent. Division corporator Tangella Babi underlined the need to take up temporary repairs to Rythu Bazaar road immediately.

He also asked the Commissioner to construct drains in 1st, 2nd and 3rd streets to bailout drain water.

Superintending engineer Om Prakash, health officer Dr MVR Murthi and others were present.
