Officials alerted over heavy rain forecast indicating continuous heavy rains for next 2 Days
Kakinada: East Godavari Collector Kartikeya Mishra asked the stakeholder departments to be more alert and cautious in view of weather forecast indicating continuous heavy rains for the next two days.
In a directive to MPDOs and special offices to panchayats on Tuesday from Collectorate through videoconference, Kartikeya Mishra asked the revenue authorities to keep two mechanised boats and an ambulance at the disposal of Rampachodavaram Sub-Collector.
This was necessitated in view of release of excess water from Dowlaiswaram barrage.
The Collector also directed the officials to take up sanitation drive in villages in agency areas to contain spread of contagious diseases.
In addition to this, the Collector also directed officials to take special sanitation drive in Kakinada Rural, Gandepalli and in Tuni mandals in view of reports of dengue cases in these three areas.
The Collector directed revenue divisional officers to review the measures taken by concerned panchayat authorities to check dengue cases and its spread in these areas.
