Swachh Bharat Fortnight begins

Visakhapatnam: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited- Visakh Refinery is observing Swachh Bharat Fortnight from August 16 to 31 as per guidelines of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

As a part of programme, HPCL-Visakh Refinery has been organising various activities to promote awareness on cleanliness and Swachh Bharat in association with GVMC.

ASV Raman, Executive Director, HPCL-VR, administered the pledge in Hindi and B  Balagangadharam, CGM-Technical, administered the pledge in English with a large number of employees.  

The Executive Director flagged off six Swachh Raths and released the pamphlets and door stickers on Swachh Bharat to create awareness among the people on cleanliness and health. 

Speaking on the occasion, ASV Ramanan emphasised the commitment of HPCL-VR as a Corporate Citizen towards Swachh Bharat Mission and the support would be continued to GVMC for a good cause in society.

He also explained the activities being taken up by HPCL-Visakh Refinery during the fortnight celebrations, including street plays, puppet shows, Swachh Raths, distribution of pamphlets, organising kiosks at three hospitals, including Regional Eye Hospital, VIMS Hospital and GVMC Hospital, Sriharipuram.

Dr Murali Mohan Rao, AMO, GVMC, applauded the initiatives taken up by HPCL-Visakh Refinery to create awareness among the popel on Swachh Bharat and informed that the GVMC would continue their support for the same.

Senior Officials of Visakh Refinery V Ratanraj, CGM-Operations, N. Ramachandran, CGM-Finance, N Raja Rao, Head-HR, G Rama, Head-Materials and R Ramakrishnan, Head-Commissioning, were present.
