CPM state secretary addressing public meeting at Brahmam gari matam

CPM state secretary P.Madhu has said both central and state governments are negleting the development of Rayala seema districts as major political parties have no clarity on the issue except utilizing the people for vote bank politics.  

Addressing huge gathering Brahmamgari Matam on the occasion of concluding 3 day Padayatra launched by CPM with the demand of releasing water to the agriculture operations from 19th August, he said even though Rayala seema district have been facing serious drought conditions for several decades, but no one was bothered over finding permanent solution for the problem.

The CPM leader recalled that despite number of political personalities from Rayala seema district have  been represented to the  top positions  in both central and state governments but they failed in completing the pending  irrigation projects in Rayala seema area only because of political reasons.

He said that it has become common practice to governments washing hands by declaring Kadapa district as severe drought hit area every year, but fails in searching of actual causes at ground level. He questioned the rulers to answer why irrigation projects like Telugu Ganga , Brahmam sagar, Galeru-Nagari, Handri neeva  were not completed since last 30 years.

Without naming YSR congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy , the CPM leader questioned the credibility of opposition party leader of his failure in pressuring the governments for completing the pending irrigation projects as he always concentrating how to occupy chief minister chair. He demanded the state government to immediately release the water from Sri Sailam reservoir for agriculture operations in the current Kharief season. Party district secretary K.Anjayaneyulu , party leaders B.Narayana Reddy , A.Dastagiri Reddy and others were present.
