CPM demands action on AU professors report
Kakinada: CPM state secretary P Madhu demanded that the government take immediate action on report submitted by Andhra University professors quoting reasons for shrinking of land in Konseema area in East Godavari.
Addressing the media at Sundarayya Bhavan here on Monday, the veteran CPM leader criticised the TDP government for making East Godavari as salt creek by allowing unauthorised aqua culture in the district.
Commenting on handcuffing of farmer of U- Kothapalli, P Subbi Reddy, the CPM leader said that at the time Subbi Reddy’s arrest the East Godavari police acted at the behest of SEZ management and even denying bail to him for the past 26 days.
On Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s stance against BJP, the CPM leader observed that all those associated with Chandrababu have been opposing the BJP, but none from the NDA alliance partner.
CPM leaders KS Srinivas, D Seshu Babji were present at the media briefing.
