Drain out stagnated rain water, officials were told by Commissioner J Nivas

Vijayawada: VMC Commissioner J Nivas directed the officials to drain the stagnated rain water using oil pumps. 

The commissioner on Wednesday visited Kamineni Nagar, Currency Nagar and APIIC Colony as part of the field inspection of the city and ordered the officials to provide better hygienic conditions in those colonies.

The commissioner visited all the areas on the highway starting from Benz Circle to Gannavaram airport. The commissioner directed the officials to clear the mud on the highway on a war footing.

The commissioner inspected the plants from Ramesh Hospital to Ramavarappupadu Ring and observed the water sprinkling on the plants.

Later, the commissioner ordered the staff to clear the debris piled at APIIC Colony and ordered the workers to complete the drain work. 

He ordered the workers to clear the garbage, mud and silt in the area.

He also visited ITI road and told the engineers to take immediate measures to do patch work of pothole formed due to rain. 

Executive engineer Prabhakar, health officer Dr Ramakoteswara Rao and others were present.
