Dr Keerthi Bollineni elected as president of Vasavya Mahila Mandali in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: Dr Keerthi Bollineni was unanimously elected as the president of Vasavya Mahila Mandali (VMM) at a general body members and executive committee gathering of Vasavya Mahila Mandali here on August 22.
The members met on Wednesday to condole the demise of former Member of Parliament Chennupati Vidya. During the meeting, the members unanimously elected Keerthi Bollineni as the president of VMM.
Dr Keerthi Bollineni said that she would work with commitment and strive to do the best for the responsibility given to her as the president of VMM.
Dr Keerthi had completed her Doctorate in Philosophy in Social Work in Andhra University and has been working for various social causes for nearly 35 years.
Her works were recognised at state, national and international level.
Recently, she has been awarded a Change Maker from the Wonder Book of Records Australia in 2018 and Strong woman from Golden Star World Records Forum, UK for the standing up for women’s rights especially for the dignity and safety.
Members of VMM and others were present on the occasion.
