PACE student selected for national athletic championship

Ongole: The management of PACE Institute of Technology and Sciences announced that their student won first place in shot put and discus throw at the state-level Athletics Championship 2018. 

The student is qualified to participate in the national athletics championships scheduled in September.

The college secretary and correspondent, Maddisetty Sridhar said that Shaik Neelima, a first year student in the EEE department participated in the state-level athletics championship held in Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur in this week. 

He said that Neelima achieved first position in discus throw and shot put to get selected for the national championship.

Appreciating Neelima, Sridhar asked the girl students to take inspiration of the state champion and participate in the sports. 

He promised them to provide best in class coaching and encourage them to such an extent that they win jobs in sports quota. He also advised the players to take inspiration from PV Sindhu and Vinesh Phogat, who were performing best in Asian games. 

The college principal Dr M Srinivasan, director of planning and development Dr Sukumar Puhan, head of the first year Dr Ch Krishna Kishore Reddy, physical director I Madhusudan and other staff appreciated the student and wished more medals in the national championship.
