Sangameswara project to be completed by March

Kondepi: Prakasam District Collector Vadarevu Vinay Chand announced that the government is making efforts to complete the Pothula Chechaiah Paleru Reservoir Project, also known as Sangameswara project by March next year.

He along with the MLC Karanam Balaram and local MLA Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swami visited the project site and inspected the ongoing works on Tuesday. 

The Collector said that the chief minister was concerned about the drought conditions in the district and was showing special interest on the welfare of the public here.

He said that once completed, the Sangameswara project would provide drinking water to 16 villages and bring under irrigation about 9,600 acres of land. 

He informed that the chief minister ordered to complete it by March at any cost. He announced that he would conduct weekly review meetings, if required to see the works go on as per schedule.
