Jagan vows to regularise services of Vizag civic body contract workers

Visakhapatnam: Various sections of people met YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy during his 254th PrajaSankalpa Yatra which was carried in the district on Tuesday. Those who met him include farmers demanding water for irrigation, outsourcing employees urging  regularisation of services, students seeking establishment of new government schools, youth for jobs and elderly seeking pensions. 

Jaganmohan Reddy started his padayatra at Jogannapalem village in MadugulaAssembly segment and before concluding the walk, he entered into Pendurty Assembly constituency. During day-long yatra, Jagan covered villages including Ramachandrapuram, Bottavanipalem, KSanthapalem, Chandraiahpeta, Noodivalasa Cross, Ayyannapalem and Boodireddypalem.

Farmers from various villages in  largenumber welcomed the YSRCP chief and poured out their hardships.  The farmers of Raiwada reservoir ayacut met him and alleged that though enough water is available, the officials are not releasing water for cultivation.

As many as 136 workers of drinking water supply scheme of GVMC met the YSRCP president and urged him to take measures to regularise their services after he comes to power in the state. They informed to Jagan that they are working for the past 21 years as outsourcing workers, but the GVMC is not regularising their services.
