Purchase more - Help more slogan fetches 5.91 lakh in form of sales at Suruchi Foods of Kakinada and Tapeswaram
Kakinada: The slogan of ‘Purchase more- help more’ of Suruchi Foods of Kakinada and Tapeswaram fetched Rs 5.91 lakh in the form of sales at the three sales counters of the organization on a single day on Sunday.
The sweet and savior business establishment owner, Polisetty Malli Babu announced earlier that he would contribute his one day sales at all these points for Kearala flood-affected.
As per the details given, the sale proceeds at Tapeswaram fetched Rs 2.36 lakh, the Home Bite sale proceeds Rs 1.9 lakh and the other shop Suruchi contributed 1.6 lakh totaling to Rs 5.91 lakh. From this, a total Rs 29,560 has been paid towards GST.
In addition to this, one day salaries of the staff of the group Rs 25,000 and the Rs 10,000 each contributed by Kakinada city MLA V Venkateswara Rao and P Anantalakhsmi added to the sales proceeds making the total to Rs 6.06 lakh.
A demand draft to this amount has been purchased in the name of Chief Minister Distress Relief Fund, Kerala and sent on Tuesday.
The group proprietor, Malli Babu thanked the public for responding to his call to purchase more- help more in helping the flood victims of Kerala.
