Yuva Rang Tarang concludes at Sidhartha auditorium in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: A three-day young theatre festival “Yuva Rang Tarang” concluded at Sidhartha auditorium here on Wednesday.
This festival was organised by New Star Modern Theatre Arts Welfare Association from September 3 to 5.
A total of seven playlets, written by MS Chowdary were staged by the organization. Andhra Pradesh Nataka Academy and Mummaneni Subbarao Sidhartha Kala Peetham also rendered support for this event.
On the inaugural day, two playlets ‘Pipeelikam’ and ‘Chali Cheemalu’ were performed by the member the organization.
Pipeelakam was dramatised basing on the story of Rachakonda Viswanatha Sastry. Both the playlets were directed by M S Chowdary.
On second day, three playlets ‘Ataveladi’, ‘Shadow less man’ and ‘Kanchavoyi Swatantra swaroopam’ were staged by the members.
On the final day of the festival, two playlets namely ‘Aa Vechani Samudra Garbham’ and ‘Controversy’ were staged.
K Mahendra Chakravarthy was honored by the organisers. Director, Department of Culture, Andhra Pradesh Dr D Vizia Bhaskar, Chairman, AP Nataka Academy Gummadi Gopala Krishna, Naidu Gopi and others were present on the dais.
The programme was organised by MS Chowdary, M Gopalakrishna, D Prakash, Venigalla Bhaskar and Kongara Sridevi.
