Vundavalli questions government on audit objections
Rajamahendravaram: Former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar has demanded that the state government should clarify the audit objections relating to expenditure on the construction of Amaravati capital.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, he said that Planning Commission vice-chairman Kutumba Rao should give clarification about the audit objections. In view of 2017 audit objections, I am asking clarifications from the government, he told. Japan companies said Bihar state was better than Andhra Pradesh and rejected to work in the state, he pointed out. People are ready to invest high amounts for nine per cent with the government guarantee for the construction of capital city, he said.
Vundavalli said that he was ready to meet Kutumba Rao to get clarification for his quarries on this issue any time. The government had rejected the High Court building designs given by Maki & Associates company saying that the designs are looks like Chandigarh secretariat and thermal power plant tower and the government paid an amount of Rs 1.15 crore towards expenses, he said and added the government was also reluctant to give papers relating to 1,699 acres given to Singapore consortium.
