All India Students Federation national meet from today
Anantapur: The All India Students Federation (AISF), which is holding its national convention here on Thursday, will draw an action plan at the three-day convention on the issues of protecting democratic rights, upholding constitutional values, preserving public schools from closure and preventing saffronisation of education in the country.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, AISF national president Valli Ullah Khadri and national general secretary Viswajith Kumar alleged the Hindutva elements including RSS and Vishva Hindu Parishad had embarked on attacks on minorities, SC and STs including Adivasis. False cases were foisted on them and tried under treachery laws, they said.
Khadri accused the BJP government of saffronising education and destroying the secular fabric of the country. During the past few years, about one lakh government schools had been closed, they alleged. The convention would extensively debate on the issues and expose the central and state governments in the country.
