Collector Kartikeya Mishra inspects park development works in Kakinada
Kakinada: District Collector Kartikeya Mishra inspected the ongoing developmental works at Vivekananda Park (Rajah Tank) and Gandhjinagar Park on Friday.
While the works in the former was taken up at a cost of Rs 8.16 crore, the latter at Rs 3.86 crore under public places development in smart city.
These developmental activities will be declared open for public on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti Day.
In Rajah Tank, the construction of swimming pool for children, walking track, food court, playground for children, open air theatre and allied activity was taken up.
In Gandhi Nagar Park, the Collector asked the officials concerned to expedite works such as Yoga centre, development of playground for children, Kalavedica and other amenities.
Kartikiya Mishra on this occasion directed Municipal Commissioner K Ramesh to conduct cultural activities in the park every Saturday and Sunday, besides Happy Sunday programmes.
Municipal Corporation SE Vijay Kumar and other officials accompanied the Collector during the visit.
