Chandra Babu Naidu adopted double standards over SCS: Kanna Lakshmi Narayana

Update: 2018-10-04 01:17 IST

BJP State President Kanna Lakshmi Narayana has alleged that after state bifurcation AP state is lacking behind the development only because of double standards being adopted by chief minister N.Chandra Babu Naidu on policy matters in administration.

Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday the BJP state leader questioned if chief minister is really committed on his part over securing Special Category Status (SCS) why he has accepted the proposal of Special package offered by central government. He pointed out ‘Naidu ‘should answer to the people what is the reason he differed with BJP lead NDA government by showing SCS as a main cause just one year ahead of 2019 general  elections and why he failed to raise  issue before the central of these years.

He said that despite irrigation projects in Rayalaseema districts like Galeru Nagari Sujala Sravanthi(GNSS), Handri-Neeva Sujapa sravanthi (HNSS) witnessing just 20 pending works but he least bothered over their completion because of expecting commissions from the contractors. He said that there was no hope of completing Polavaram project in near future as the state government is diverting the funds which were meant to Polavaram being diverted to other activities.

Asserting the commitment of BJP lead NDA government over full filling the assurances not only mentioned in the bifurcation of act but also several promises during the 2014 electioneering, the BJP leader said it is unfortunate Chandra Babu naidu canvassing the all schemes implemented by central as  own by the state government.

He recalled that the TDP which has existed against the Congress Party with the slogan of ‘ Self Respect of Telugu’s’  during the later NTR, now pledged the prestige of Telugu people at the feet of same party by having electoral alliance in Telangana State. He said development is only possible with the BJP as it is clear in that aspect in AP state. BJP state general secretary S.Suresh Reddy, BJYM state president N.Ramesh Naidu, Kandula Rajamohan Reddy and others were present.
