Killing of MLA, ex-MLA: Maoists claim responsibility

Visakhapatnam: A letter was circulated among media sections here on Tuesday in which it was alleged  that the  Maoists central committee (MCC) has claimed that they are responsible for the killing of Araku MLA KidariSarveswar Rao and former MLA Siveri Somu  on  September 23rd at Liveruputta  in Agency area.

In the letter the Maoists reportedly stated that both TDP leaders were killed due to their anti-tribal activities in the Agency areas. Both the leaders were warned by the Maoists in the past regarding mining at Guda area in the Agency. Even after that both the leaders neglected the warnings and continued their anti-tribal activities.

Finally,Maoists eliminated the two leaders after the two leaders have confessed to their activities during people’s court. The two leaders also disclosed to Maoists that  TDP paid Rs 20 crore to GiddiEswari for supporting mining in the Agency.  Maoists also issued an ultimatum to GiddiEswari to spend the Rs 20 crores for the welfare of the tribes in Agency within two months.
