Assets worth 8.91 crore distributed to beneficiaries
Chittoor: For the first time in the state, assets distribution programme on every Monday during ‘Mee Kosam’ was introduced, said District Collector P S Pradyumna. On the instructions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, it was decided to organise assets distribution programme in the district, he added. Speaking to the media, the Collector said assets worth Rs 8.91 crore were distributed to 2,341 eligible beneficiaries.
He stated that there are 13 lakh families in the district and taking steps to cover all the eligible families with financial support from the government. He reiterated that the government is committed for uplift of all sections by sanctioning loans through banking institutions. He made an appeal to the beneficiaries to make proper use of assets for achieving the goals of the government.
Chittoor MLA D A Satyaprabha has expressed her happiness for the initiative introduced by the government. Mayor K Hemalatha said the Chief Minister wants to ensure Rs 10,000 income per month to each family in the state. Joint Collector-II Chandramouli, DRDA Project Director Ravi Prakash Reddy and other officials were present.
