Lord gives darshan on Swarna Ratham
Tirumala: Splendour marked the ‘Swarna Rathotsavam' event on Wednesday, the penultimate day of the nine-day Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams at Tirumala as the ecstatic chanting of ‘Govinda' ‘Govinda' by the devotees hit the sky.
After the special rituals such as ‘Punyahavachanam' and ‘Navagraha dhyanam,' the processional deities of Sri Malayappa Swamy and his two divine consorts were ceremoniously mounted atop the golden chariot amidst chanting of Vedic hymns by the temple pundits. Tens of thousands of devotees from different parts of the country participated in the divine procession that took place between 7 am and 9 am.
His Holiness Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, His Holiness Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, Tirumala JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju, Incharge CVSO Sivakumar Reddy, Temple Dy EO Harindranath, Peishkar Ramesh, VGOs Raveendra Reddy, Sadalakshmi, temple staff and devotees took part.
