2 chain snatchers held, Rs.3 lakh property seized

Guntur : Urban police arrested two thieves involved chain snatching and motor cycle theft cases in Guntur on Saturday and recovered eight sovereigns of gold and a motor cycle from  their possession. The recovered property is valued at Rs. 3-lakh. 

According to police, the main accused Chintalapudi Sagar is resident of Chennayapalem in Pidigurallamandal of Guntur district. He, along with another accused Gallapati Gopi of Mellacheruvumandal of Suryapet in Telangana state involved in several gold chain snatching cases in Guntur city.

The police arrested Sagar when he was moving suspiciously at Inner Ring Road in city.  Based on the information provided by him,they arrested Gallapati Gopi and recovered 8-sovereigns of gold and a motor bike.
